KMX3S70 High-Speed steel
The Super 70 is a new type of steel developed through multiple recursive analyses of Nippon Koshuha's long experience in the high-speed steel industry and users, evaluations via a computer.
Features of S70

Hardened at temperature below 1200 to obtain the maximum hardness of HRC70 as the soluble high-speed steel.
Appropriate component design ensures finer structure and well-balanced hardness and tenacity.
Almost the same machinability as that of the steels currently in use.

Applications Position of S70
Forming tools
Very hard rolls (Sendzimir work rolls)
Punches with service lives as long as cemented carbide tools (such as counter punches and canning punches).

Wear-resistance Hardness and softening resistance at high temperature
Good wear-resistance due to superior hardness
Maintains high hardness even at high temperatures and offers superior softening resistance.

@
Machinability Physical characteristics
Less VC carbide deteriorating the machinability and fine primary carbide offer superior machinability even though being very hard.
